No. The tap function relies on an antenna which is wired through your plastic card. Your EMV chip is extracted and implanted on your new metal card leaving the copper antenna behind. You will still be able to use your smart devices to TAP to pay.

Your magnetic stripe on the back will be encoded to work just like your plastic card.

Custom Credit Cards offers a 20% discount on any metal card that is the victim of fraud. Simply bring in your newly issued plastic card and canceled metal card to receive your discount.

Your card will work just fine in the majority of ATM's. But please exercise caution when using an ATM that sucks your entire card into the machine. Those tend to be older machines and we strongly recommend AGAINST using those ATM's as they were not designed to withstand newly designed cards.​ In addition, your debit card can be added to your smart phone’s wallet and can then access ATM’s at the majority of large banking institutions. We only recommend using ATM’s that simply read and lock your EMV chip and still allow you to grab your card if necessary.

Any debit or credit card from anywhere in the world is eligible to be converted from plastic to metal.

You will receive your plastic card back minus the EMV chip.

Yes we do! At the time of purchase, each metal card is eligible for our metal protection plan for only $30 and $45 for our color cards. For more information, click here.

When your metal card expires your financial intuition will automatically issue you a new plastic card. Simply bring in your expired metal card and your new plastic card we’ll honor a 30% discount on your next purchase. If you live out of state and want to redeem this option, click here.
